To Whom It May Concern,

Australia has experienced increased covid19 cases and many cities have been impacted from Sydney being the most impacted through to all other major Cities across Australia.

At MRL Global we are always reviewing our processes and procedures to provide a better service to our clients.

As a result of the continued developments and changes in regulations by various States and the Federal Government, we have designed a simple Frequently Ask Questions FAQ where our clients can refer to at all times for the most up to date Covid19 updates in MRL Global.

As a general rule during lock downs issued by any State or Federal Government, MRL Global does not permit any freight to be delivered to us or collected from us by General Public. However, Freight companies or Courier companies will be able to collect or deliver freight into any facilities run and operated by MRL Global during lock downs issued by State or Federal Government.

This only applies when there is a lock down in place and once lock downs have been removed for a city that we operate in, that city will operate as usual and access to general public for drop off and collections will be possible.

QUEENSLAND LOCK DOWN UPDATE (3 DAY LOCK DOWN):

As a result of the new Covid-19 restrictions in place for Queensland that  was announced and commenced on Saturday 31 July 2021 for 3 days, all freight into and out of Queensland may face delays. Kindly ensure you allow additional time for collections and deliveries.

NEW SOUTH WALES LOCK DOWN UPDATE (ONGOING LOCK DOWN):

As a result of the updated Covid-19 restrictions in place for New South Wales that was announced and commenced on Wednesday 28 July 2021, Where the lock down in many LGA’s will remain until 28 August 2021, all freight into and out of New South Wales may face delays. Kindly ensure you allow additional time for collections and deliveries.

VICTORIA LOCK DOWN UPDATE:

All lock downs in Victoria have been lifted, however, there are still many restrictions in place within Victoria and also due to increased border restrictions between states we are expecting delays impacting VIC as well.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA LOCK DOWN UPDATE:

All lock downs in South Australia have been lifted, however, there are still many restrictions in place within South Australia and also due to increased border restrictions between states we are expecting delays impacting SA as well.

We at MRL Global are working proactively to ensure we minimise any delays in freight movements and we assure all our clients that we will move all freight as swiftly as possible within the very restrictive government regulations and guidelines that has been set out to all businesses across multiple States and Territories. Due to these very restrictive government regulations and guidelines, our standard  Express or General Freight Transit Times does not apply.

3PL Warehousing and Order Processing Guide:

  1. Ensure you put in the orders in advance to ensure prompt order processing. Due to new restrictions, we are implementing AM / PM Shifts to help social distancing, minimise staff interaction and minimise our risk of any potential virus spreading between all staff.

  2. Please ensure all containers are organised in advance with our team to ensure we have appropriate resources organised for the AM or PM Shift.

 

Can Customers Pickup Freight from MRL Global Sydney, Derrimut, Archerfield and Dudley Park Depot?

No.  Customer cannot pickup from our Depots until further notice.

Can Customers organise their own freight company or couriers to Pick up Freight from MRL Global Sydney, Derrimut, Archerfield and Dudley Park Depot?

Yes. Approved freight companies and/or courier companies can collect from our Depots if they follow all instructions requested by our team onsite.


If any individual who is authorised to collect freight from our Depot they must declare if they are from any LGA that require to be tested every 3 days must provide proof that they have completed the Covid Test. Failure to provide, access to our Depots will be denied.

Can MRL Global cater for NEW  3PL Storage and Order Processing Clients?

The short answer is Yes. During the pandemic which commence in 2020, many companies have moved towards 3PL Storage and Distribution and helped their businesses minimise their warehousing cost and labour costs quite substantially.

Senders Guide for Sending Freight:

Does MRL Global still collect and deliver freight?

Yes. We pickup and deliver from and to any locations within NSW Health Guidelines.

Does MRL Global capture Signature in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA?

In NSW or any other States where there are Covid restrictions, signatures will not be taken from the receiver. We will obtain the receivers name and note down the receivers’ name. We are implementing contactless pickup and delivery.

 

Will deliveries be delayed From and To NSW, VIC, QLD and SA?

Our customers have been very understanding of the current situations in NSW and other States and although freight may be delayed across Australia, we are doing everything we can to minimise any possible delays and ensure we deliver freight as quickly as possible. Customers can help in the process by ensuring that the receiver is open and can receive the freight within 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. All timeslot pickup and delivery will be deliveries within Operational guidelines, and we cannot commit to any specific timeslot requirements.

Minimise Futile Pickup/Deliveries Fees:

We kindly request all our valued customers to ensure the below points are
implemented in their organisation when sending freight with MRL Global:

  1. Ensure the receiver company name, full name, mobile contact number, email address is added to the connote.
  2. Ensure the receiver can receive goods and are open between the hours of 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Ensure the receiver is aware that all timeslot booking, or time specific booking freight may not be met due to potential delays in transit or lock down restriction in New South Wales and their booking maybe required to be rebooked for a further date.
